Stephen graduated from university in 1995 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Business and Marketing. He then completed a teaching qualification and for the next 2 years Stephen taught English at primary and secondary schools in Lisbon, Portugal. During the summer breaks Stephen returned to the United Kingdom and taught students from all over the world who were enrolled at Cambridge University. Upon returning to the UK permanently Stephen relocated to Leeds where he began his career in recruitment. After 2 successful years as a Consultant with a large multi national company Stephen was promoted to Branch Manager where he enjoyed significant success for the next 3 years. He then set up 2 new offices in Merseyside and Cheshire for two nationwide education recruitment companies. Stephen achieved significant success over the next 5 years before deciding to set up The Teaching Executives Ltd, an independent recruitment consultancy, providing schools and teachers with an unrivalled professional and personable service.
In his spare time Stephen enjoys experiencing different cultures. His experience in Portugal has spurred Stephen’s interest to visit other countries and develop his fluency in the Portuguese language further. This has included an extensive trip to Brazil encompassing Rio, Salvador and the Amazon. Stephen enjoys keeping fit and leads an active lifestyle which includes playing in his local football team and competing in marathons to help raise funds for regional charities.
Julie graduated from The University of Leeds with a BA Degree in Media and Business Management in 1998. She relocated from Yorkshire to Merseyside following a successful career in Marketing and Business Development within the music industry and legal sector. Since 2001, Julie has worked in recruitment alongside Stephen Morris-Jones specialising in primary and secondary education for the North West region. She has played a main role alongside Stephen setting up The Teaching Executives Ltd, continuing to ensure schools and teachers receive a high quality service. Julie is a Lead Signatory for the Criminal Records Bureau and is responsible for quality and auditing within the organisation.
As an active member of her community Julie has participated in several fundraising events. This has included speaking on behalf of the Liverpool branch of The Weston Spirit Charity at The House of Lords regarding the needs of children and young adults. Julie is interested in gymnastics and athletics which she has held a number of awards for. She has travelled to Holland to represent Great Britain in an international gymnastics tournament and has competed as part of a team for the North West region. Following her retirement from the sport Julie coached a gymnastics display squad for The Liverpool School of Physical Education, accompanying the team to competitions across the United Kingdom.
